ALINA

Since her teens Alina has been involved in Latin American show dancing. Four years ago Alina met with Lex and today she is most adept in the great art of quick change. Today she is a master quick change artist - the fastest German lady in the wardrobe.

For this act she constructed with Lex the second generation of high-tech costumes, which combined with her high performance acrobatics, are so unbelievably fast. Many a woman would dream of being able to marry in Alina's "work clothes"! Even items of Haute Couture clothing from renowned French designers have been incorporated into this branch of variety entertainment.

Alina is the only woman in the world to master the split second costume change whilst still bound in less than a second.

LEX SCHOPPI

His forebearers: authors, philosophers, entertainer... at the age of nine however, he starts to perform magic. Two decades later the self-taiught magician seeks his first contact with fellow magicians. Shortly afterwards in the autumn of 2000 he presents his style of magic at a competition of a magic conference, in which he rapidly changes his costume four times. He gained first prize as the most effective presentation to the audience, which was his entrance card to the Magic Circle of Germany.
Since the year 2000 he has been working on Quick Change projects and has been involved internationally with projects for fellow magicians. After a two year delay in September 2003 his German language book on this subject he published himself, as no other publisher wanted to touch it. Despite being published in German, this book was sold all over the continent and was considered a top secret. Some of the techniques described in the book were deemed as a "revolution" by significant Quick Change artists. Apart from special clothing Lex Schoppi developed colour change bow ties, ties and scarves which were distributed worldwide to magic dealers through a Californian wholesaler.
In 2005 the British illusionist Lee Alex translated his book, whose content was largely expanded. The international crème de la crème of the art of illusion praised this new book in the highest esteem. Magic specialist magazines gave very positive reviews. The book was considered one of the most comprehensive works which had ever been written on this subject; collectors call it a "major book". Half of the first publication was sold on the day it appeared.

This is the first attempt at a comprehensive study of Quick Change techniques for men's costumes and with little else available at the current time the authors have provided a starting point for anyone looking to add a Quick Change or costume change to their act.

MAGIE
magazine of the German magic circle
"...an absolute must have!"

Jim Steinmeyer, illusion designer
"An important book filled with unique information on many costume effects. Quick Change is an essential textbook for every stage magician, and I highly recommend it."

Valerie Mageux, Quick Change artist
"Your book is THE reference to "Quick Change"...No other one of this quality exists...really, all my congratulations for this beautiful work."

Kevin James, world class magician:
"I have always been fascinated with the art of costume change. This is a very comprehensive exploration on the subject. The incredible genius performances of Arturo Brachetti has shown us all what heights can be reached, how inspiring and magical the art form can be. Any serious student will want this book."

Peter Marvey, world class magician
"This book fills a gap in the knowledge of the magic art. Certainly THE book to answer all your quick change questions and a great collector's piece."

Danny Cole, magician + quick-change artist
"Finally I can understand the details of the German book! I think you have done a good job... the theories and techniques are clear through your writing. I could understand everything, and as a teaching tool, you have done a great job. After all, this is not a book of English literature, it is a magic teaching book! So good job, and I am excited to see the final product."

Geoffrey Durham, English Television magician
"The magic world has needed a good, clear, authoritative work on quick change for far too long. This is an excellent first book for anyone exploring a fascinating and neglected area of magic. Creative magicians will find real inspiration here. Warmly recommended."

Tony Clark, world class magician:
I found it to have a lot of great information and it was easy to understand. You did a great job of producing a well needed book. Congratulations on a great contribution to the art of Quick Change!

Mark Parker, illusion designer
"Its an excellent and valuable source of info on this subject. I am sure anyone getting into quick change or even seasoned pro's will discover a few gems here. Well done...excellent."

G. Kaurin "Diamond", quick change artist
"The most important part of the book is of course the methods of fastening. In this part of the book, the author has done a very clever thing - consulting many people and many resources of what has been already published on this issue for their own methods. Believe me, I was surprized how many different methods there are. The simplicity of some of them and the complexity of the others is amazing."

Matt McCoy
" I have read the book from cover to cover many times, it is my new magic bible. Thank you so much for this book. You have created a master piece."

Arto Airaksinen
" This is a mayor book!"
